Hello Everyone,

Its time for new challenge at Emerald Creek! As the St. Patrick day around the corner, theme of the challenge is "Take it to the Irish."

I've created strips texture in the background with Tim Holtz stencil and Wendy Vecchi white embossing paste. On that I've adhered diecut trellis. Doll and wings are again from Tim Holtz Ideology collection. Flowers are again diecut from Sizzix Tim Holtz designed tattered flowers.
In the middle of flowers I've attached Emerald Creek butterfly brads.

for colors I have used Bundled sage, Cracked Pistachio, Brushed pewter, Peacock feather and vintage photo distress paints

And finally words - Lucky Angel are stamped with Tim Holtz alpha stamps.

Grow - Art Journal page

Hello Everyone,

Here comes my second project with The Crafters Joyride design team.

I created Art Journal page ...
with Kaisercraft Limelight collection and Distress sprays.

here is the making procedure..

I started with adhering strips and pieces of papers from limelight  collection on the base.
I gave first coat of white gesso. When it was dry, I sprinkled ground espresso distress stain and when it dried, I gave second coat of gesso.

I did the same procedure like above with Mustered seed distress stain spray.

Here you will see I stamped text and texture with Kaisercraft stamps and Ranger black archival ink

Next color layer was with Twisted citron distress spray and again gesso.

Finally with more sprinkles of ground espresso, my background looked like this.

I chose picture of flower stem as my focal point. I layered it on few more papers from Kaisercraft Limelight collection. I've also added embellishments - metal filigree, butterflies stickers, sequins.
And the quote is - "from little things big things grow"

On the other side of the page, I attached Pull handle knob and butterfly.

And this is whole page look like.
I enjoy making journal pages, hope you liked this too!

Pink Valentine with Emerald Creek

Hello Everyone,

New challenge at Emerald Creek for this fortnight. ...and it is "Anything Goes"

I've used Hummer stamp, Butterflies brads, and Burnt copper, sweet valentine embossing powder from Emerald Creek.

Here, you can see wonderful colors and textures created with embossing powders.

I've used canvas as a base. Flowers texture is created with Tim's blossoms stencil and Wendy Vecchi embossing paste. When it dried, I applied Picked raspberry, picket fence and ground espresso distress stains on the surface and spritzed water to spread the color around.
Hummer- humming bird is stamped with jet black archival ink and colored with dusty concord distress ink. I dried the surface again with my heat tool. And created another layer with Tim's Eye chart stencil and distress ink.

I love to see the wonderful texture and colors created by Emerald creek's  embossing powders. They are different. Did I tell you, I've done double layer heat embossing.

These cute little butterflies are brads, I removed their back pin and adhered on the canvas...becoz I like butterflies :)

I am sure you would like to see all fab creations by my talented  teamies, you can find them here.

You can win

Watercolor Journal page with Gelatos

Hello Everyone,

I've my next watercolor journal page to share with you today for which I've used Gelatos.

I've created lots of layers  here with stamping ,stenciling and playing with Gelatos and Gesso.
I enjoyed creating this with limited supplies.
Page came out with soft colors, which is very unusual for me.

I cut out these hearts from text paper. Applied cotton candy gelatos colors and on that I applied Design memory craft glass bead gel. It gave fab texture and shimmer.

I am enjoying my journey so far with watercoloring in my new journal this year.

Lime light Mixed Media

Hello Everyone,

I am sharing with you my first project for Scrapbooking.ger/ The Crafters Joyride.

I created mixed media canvas!!

I worked with Kaisercraft Limelight collection. It has beautiful green and brown design papers.

I started with one of the damask design paper. As I wanted to work with mixed media I applied think layer of white gesso. Next I created texture with Damask stencil and texture paste. Let it air dry completely. I brought ground espresso, picket fence distress stains and Kaisercraft green ink pad on my table. I used inks from them mixing with water to get this texture look.

Next I stamped different texture with Kaisercraft texture stamps and walnut stain distress ink/ jet black archival ink/ kaisercraft green ink.

This beautiful Wooden Flourishes Bird branch is also from Kaisercraft, available with Scrapbooking .gr/ The Crafters Joyride

Beautiful bird is a sticker from same Lime light collection which I layered on flowers, laces, doilies, ephemera.

I enjoyed working with this different color combo.
