Steampunk Birds

Hello Everyone,

Its a Stencil challenge at Paper Artsy this fortnight and I am sharing a journal page with textured stencil work and Paper Artsy stamps.

I've created background texture with CW - Cogs and gears stencil and Finnabaire texture paste.

I've spritzed Lindy's inks to get color on surface.

All images are from Paper Artsy Hot Pick 1107 stamp set, which I stamped with Archival ink and colored with distress stains.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Small is beautiful

Hello Everyone,

I am sharing something different than my regular projects.
At Stamps and Stencils blog, DTs have challenged us to create something small.
And I decided to come out of my comfort zone and take up the challenge.

I made this Keychain.

Its very small(1.75" * 1"), I've enlarged the pic to get clear view.
I've used metal pendant from Modge Podge. Butterfly and texture background are stamped images. On that I added beads and applied coat of Mod Podge Dimensional Magic, it gave nice 3D effect.
I love small bells so attached them as well.  And...this will be new Keychain for my bike.

I got carried away...so tried some more pieces.

I created these tiny pieces on approx 2*2"/ 2 1/2" chipbords.
Loved the process and how they turned out, you will see me using them on my future projects.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Tranquality - Mixed media canvas

Hello Everyone,

I've new canvas to share with you. I rarely use black in my background surface..and I did it today..loving it with lavender ink.

I created collage in the background with  black design papers from Prima Optimist collection.

I cut them in pieces and adhered them as collage with Modge Podge, this is one of my favourite technique to create background.

For chevron texture I used Crafters Workshop Stencil and texture paste.  I added Prima Mica flakes, glass beads and small square cuts from Picture wheel die for more interest.
I applied black gesso for this and when it dried I spritzed Lulu Lavender Fireworks Spray onto it.

I cut out Picture wheel with Sizzix die, on that I adhered one metal flower ...colored all this with black gesso and spritzed Lulu Lavender fireworks ink.
I used Sizzix Tattered flower die to make the flower in center.

All the edges are of small squares are highlighted with Faber Castell big brush pen -black. Lastly I applied Inka gold Violet to highlight some areas.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
