Courage to imagine... Art Journal page

Hello Everyone,

Scrap Around the world has fabulous mood board and I just wanted to create a page with that. Its a last moment entry, but I enjoyed what I've created today in my Art Journal.
(it is 14 inch*9.5 inch double spread)
Simon Says Monday Challenge blog also wants us to make whatever we like this week.

And here the inspiration board

I was inspired by green and brown hues, Boat and quote from the borad.

Here are some more close up pictures

Texture is created with canvas zig zag strips, Finnabaire modeling paste, Finnabaire texture stamps. I've used several Lindy's inks. I've also used Distress glitters.

Gears are resin embellishments. Love... how they fit here with sea background.

Sentiment and birds are from Tim Holtz stamp sets.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Tim's February 2015 Tag

Hello Everyone,

Here is my version of Tim's tag of February 2015.

I've used Tim's Wallflower papers in the background. I attached different papers to create collage. Added tissue tape at some places. Applied seal glue to seal everything together. Distressed edges with distressing tool. To get the shabby look, as Tim has suggested, applied Picket fence distress paint at the edges of all collage pieces. And when all dried highlighted the edges with black marker. I tried all techniques from Tim's original tag....loved making this!I used whatever embellishments I had with me, keeping the same theme 'love'

Friday, February 13, 2015

Hello Everyone,

I had fun using Tim Holtz products and following his techniques for this project.
Here are the pictures I have taken while making the background.

I've followed Tim's layering stencils technique. To start with, I stenciled with Antique linen distress paint and Blazonry stencil on white card. Next  layer was with alpha stencil and weather wood distress paint. After that I spritzed Evergreen Bough distress stain randomly on the surface, spritzed water onto it and dried with my heat tool. Distress paints resisted stains and water, it is still showing through. Then I took Honeycomb stencil and wild honey distress ink to get more texture. Some more stenciling with Tim's Gothic stencil and walnut stain spray. During all these layers, I heat set them.
You can watch video demo by Tim holtz here.

In this picture, you will see, I stamped butterflies, text and tiny dots with coffee archival ink/wild honey DI

I started layering ephemera. I used Honeycomb framework diecuts for more interest. I colored metal embellishments with suitable alcohol inks. 'Remember' is a wooden piece, again colored with alcohol inks.

Cute baby's photo is from Tim's Found Relatives collection.

Link with : A Vintage Journey : I've used middle line from Tic -Tac- toe which is Paints, Ephemera, Diecuts. I've also used Metal embellishments and distress stains/ sprays

Our Creative Corner: I've used Middle line from OCC Tic Tac- Toe - that is Paints, stamps, stencils plus Metal and die cuts.
