'Distressed' - Journal Page

Hello Everyone,

I am reading Wendy Vecchi's and Alison's, Astrid's  blogs a lot these days,.... these genius artist have so much to share.... amazing! My this journal page is inspired by them.
The Artistic Stamper Creative Team' challenge for this month is 'use distress'.
And it was a fun to play with my distress paints, stains and inks in only two colors - Vintage photo and broken china! I am sharing the AJ page with them.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

  1. Gosh, looks fabulous & to have those 3 names on a post is very cool!

  2. How difficult to use just two colours and how well you have done this. The tag itself is beautiful with the flower and the background plants, and the background is equally lovely in only two colours.

  3. It's absolutely beautiful, Shilpa... Thank you so much for your amazing words - I'm thrilled and honoured to be mentioned as part of your inspiration trio. You'll have guessed that I love the colours here, and beautiful inky effects, and the grasses and texture too... and the tag makes a wonderful focal point. Gorgeous!
    Alison xx

  4. Oops... and thank you so much for playing along with us at the Artistic Stamper too (I was too busy being flattered to remember!).

  5. This is a remarkable combination of elements, Shilpa. I have seen tags included in larger pieces of art on many occasions, but never as the centerpiece. A unique piece of art!

  6. Shilpa, this is so beautiful, the tag is so much of a focal point and at the same time a kinda miniature representing the whole !!

  7. Wowwwww Shilpa, stunning artwork!!! Great colours and shapes and that tag looks stunning in between everything!

  8. wonderful,wonderful colour combination.
    Corrie x

  9. AMAZING dear Shilpa would match
    perfect as well!
    Happy weekend!
