Mixed Media for Catchy challenges

Hello Everyone,

Deepti has given truely terrific and unusual challenge for August at Catchy challenges. Its Bingo+Anything goes!
I've chosen - News paper, Acetate and Mirror....

For this mixed media project I've recycled some old products. I've used Kellogg's cereals box as a base. Adhered news paper on that. Sprinkled dylusion inks in various colours. Stamped butterfly images. And I've created white design with texture paste and Itsy Bitsy stencil, on Acetate which was packaging cover. That textured design plate is stapled with main page. For the last touch, I've glued die cut butterflies with small round mirrors on them.

Challenge bingo is,

And this mixed media page has become front cover for my new Art Journal

I added some more pages into it with some new creations,

                                  thanks for looking....:)

"Believe, Win and Laugh" - Art Journal Page

Hello Everyone,

Mou's challenge for this month is about making something about your favourite  words to live by. And I made Mixed media art journal that reads 'Believe, win and laugh' And the story behind this is...

Recently, we were called at my daughters school as guest for investiture ceremony. And Chief guest Mr.Alex Abraham motivated students(and everyone present there) with his powerful speech. He said to achieve success these are important things to do - believe, win and laugh

He said that without believing, one would not be motivated to do anything. Any task, planning, activity that one would do, one does it because inherently, one believes it some some degree. Nobody would do anything if they didn't believe in it. On the other hand, it is important for a person to believe in the goals/objectives before they plan it.

Similarly, winning in small sums up to big win. For example, getting up early is a win. Getting ready to school is a win. Discussing with teachers and gaining knowledge is a win. Developing good habits and ensuring best practices is a win. All these smaller wins help for a bigger win.

At the same time, enjoying the process is also equally important. Laughing with others, laughing at yourself while you plan, perform, contribute, execute helps you to make the journey better, less stressed and most importantly, keeps you grounded.

Don't we often take these simple things for granted? let's not

here is my journal page..

For this page I've especially created glass beads texture. Other products I used here are - dylusion ink, acrylic paints, doilies, washi tapes, kaisercraft stamp and  rub ons.

"Eiffel Tower" - Art Journal Page

Hello Everyone,

I've adhered the picture of Eiffel tower from my paper stack on the background I had made while doing some other project. Background - I had stamped negative side of stencil which was full of modelling paste. On that I sprayed some yellow, orange and turquoise colour inks.I gave finishing touches with some stamping. Also applied peeled paint distress ink at the edges.

"SQUARE" - Art Journal page

Hello Everyone,

Barbara at Art Journal Journey has suggested the theme for this month - Square, and here is my take on that... it reads 'Good Times'

When I started this page wanted to keep it simple, but it turned out layered and misty :-).
