I am sharing a textured mixed media canvas with you today.
I've used DecoArt and Tim Holtz products for this.
It was all started with this background.
For the base I used DecoArt Decoupage paper, next layers were texture paste, gesso, colors, white crackle paste through damask stencil and stamping and again stenciling with colors.
And I don't know it happens with everyone, but I was stuck here. And this canvas was sitting on my table for a week, I did not know what focal point I should add.
And... magic happened :)....I visited new challenge for this month at A Vintage Journey and I got inspired to make Rustic element on this canvas as a focal image.
I am very much inspired by Nikki's this post
and today, Brenda has posted this awesome rusted butterfly
So I cut out butterflies from Chipboard with Sizzix Tim Holtz butterfly die
Attached both of them together, applied gesso to it and created damask design with white texture paste and Tim Holtz stencil. When it dried, I followed the Rusting technique showed by Andy Skinner in this You Tube Video
here is the close up view. Many embellishments are from Tim holtz Ideology.
Here is the another view.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
