Altered CDs with Gelatos

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to alter old CDs and make an art on it. Its a small surface for me and can be given this cute little art as a gift

I've used Faber Castell Design Memory Craft products for this and I've small tutorial to share with you

.....here we go..

To start with I adhered Prima Epiphany papers to CDs with Design Memory Craft Gel Medium. Applied a base coat of white Gesso.

I stamped background with Heartfelt Tattred Collage stamp and black Archival ink. Started applying Gelatos colours  - Aqua Dolce and Watermelon from Pastel set. I spread the colour with baby wipe

Next layer of texture is with Design Memory Craft Whipped Spackle and stencil.
One more thin layer of Gelato and my background is ready.

This is close up view of first Altered CD. Polka dot butterfly image is from Penny black Social Butterfly stamp set which is colored with Watermelon Gelato.

And here is another Altered CD

I've used Kiwi and Elderberry Gelatos for this one!

Thanks so much for stopping by.

I hope you don't mind if I Pin this to one of my Tutorial boards on Pinterest so that I remember where I saw the technique when I want to have a go Karen x
