Today I've made Christmas Wreath, which my daughter wanted for decorating  her classroom.
 It was quick and easy!!

I've used green paper from  DCWV Christmas creations stack.  It has delicate  glitter designs on it. I cut out the leaves with Sizzix Tattered leaves. Poinsettia is made with DCWV red glitter paper. Paper is smooth and glitter does not come off. DCWV also has mirror embellishments. Golden  Star is from that collection.

A sad Goodbye to Lulupu

Hello Everyone,
I am saying Goodbye to Lulupu blog today. It was a difficult decision.
I joined the team in January 2014 and it was wonderful start for the year. Through this a year long journey I learned lot of new things and made friends for lifetime. I enjoyed every moment at Lulupu. But now it is a time to take different route.
I've shared my last post at Lulupu today, here is the link
I've shared my top 3 favourite projects as well.
It was Karuna(Lulupu owner), who believed in me and gave all freedom to take care of the blog. It was steep learning curve for - how to do blog co-ordinating work.
I want to thank you Karuna and my Teamies (Hussena, Jaya, Kripa, Deepti) for all your love, care and support.

Memories will remain in my heart ....always

Card Box

Hello Everyone,

Hope you are liking our Mood board Challenge of  this fortnight at Lulupu. It has some soft colors and beautiful pictures on it.

And I am inspired by pink scooter, cabbage roses and pretty colors from that. I created Card box
for a little girl. Have a look........

I've taken pictures while I put up this all together....let's see

I made this adorable Card box with DCWV papers. I love my We are memory keepers Trim and Score board, its very convenient to make anything on same board. You can find tutorial for this box here.
But before assembling them, I had to decorate it.

On watercolor paper I spritzed Lindy's Mad Hatter Mint spray. I used my Ranger Heat tool to dry it completely. And next I applied my favourite Prima Modelling paste throug Prima bubble stencil. It gives that yummy texture and it becomes opaque when dried. But before it dries I sprinkled Prima Luminous silver glitter onto it.

I stamped Scooter Tilda with Ranger jet black archival ink, it is waterproof. I colored the image with watercolor pencils and waterbrush pen.

I adhered pink cabbage rose, light blue flowers, soft fabric net, butterflies and heart (punched from pattern papers). Below Tilda image, I created layers with mint color pattern paper and pink doily.

I punched butterflies from PP and to give them some dimension... I applied thick layer of Ranger glossy accent. I also adhered pink lace below textured paper.

And when we open the lid , there is surprise box, I filled it with candies

So thats it for today.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Altered Clipboard - Mixed Media

Hello Everyone,

I've Altered Clipboard as an inspiration project for The Mirror Cracked mixed media challenge blog.
For December we have theme - Recycle/ Upcycle or Make a Gift.

I recycled old Pinboard of my daughter. Here it is

It was total fun to alter this.

Here is the process....

I adhered paper pieces from Prima Seashore collection. Applied thin layer of gesso. I used heart stencil and Prima crackle texture paste to get this wonderful crackle effect. After that I spritzed Peacock feather and Evergreen bough distress inks randomly on the surface.

I colored the hearts with watercolors. I stamped script and texture on the board with Black Archival ink.

I used Scrolly bird die (Die- Namites) for bird. Spellbinders Tiger lilies die for flowers. I've also added handmade yellow flower, Prima Epiphany wooden embellishments.

here are some more close-ups

Hop over to Mirror Cracked mixed media challenge blog to see beautiful creations by my teamies.
And don't forget to join us for this month's challenge.

Fireworks - Mixed Media

Hello Everyone,

Unruly PaperArts has wonderful Reader's Art Quest (RAQ) this month- 'Fireworks'
Here is the inspiration photo

You can join us with any paper crafting or Mixed media project inspired by colors or theme.

I've small tutorial for you, how I made this Mixed Media Wall Hanging.

I stamped Fireworks image with Impression Obsession rubber stamp and Distress paints on to the white cardstock. Heat set it completly.

Applied Salty ocean distress ink all over the surface with ink blending tool. Distress paints resist inks when dried, so we can see fireworks clearly, although I applied dark blue ink over it.

On another white paper I stamped hero arts Newspaper skyline stamp with Jet black Archival ink. Fussy cut individual buildings, applied black soot distress ink at the edges, to give them more depth.

I attached the buildings with foam adhesive. Applied Snow Tex at the bottom to show December snow.
I also added some Prima embellishments and my mixed media piece is ready

Hop over to UPA to see other wonderful creations by other DTs.

Thanks so much for your visit, comments and love.
